How the process works
Provider review before treatment.
Before an infusion is scheduled, a provider reviews the available clinical information and determines whether treatment is appropriate.

Recent labs and information are reviewed
Appropriate recent laboratory information is needed so iron treatment can be considered clinically.

Provider clinical review
A provider reviews recent lab results and clinical information, confirms the treatment plan, and completes consent with you.

The infusion is scheduled
Treatment is scheduled in a private IV suite. A couples suite can be requested for two people who would like to receive their infusions together, subject to scheduling availability.

Treatment and observation follow
Iron sucrose administration itself takes approximately 20 minutes. The first one or two infusions include 30 minutes of observation afterward.
